This past month, Tsha Thoñ’nhes has added more equipment and training tools to help keep the people of the Onondaga Nation healthy.
“We have worked closely with Mister (Sherwin Hill) at the Arena to acquire the set up that we currently have,” said Tsha Thoñ’nhes Director Ed Shenandoah. “But it has been great talking to the people who use the fitness room on what they’d like to see to encourage them to keep their bodies moving. The Nation really wants to create improved atmosphere in keeping a healthy lifestyle for all ages.”
The Fitness Room now has a wide range of equipment that is available.
Director Shenandoah explains, “You can work on your cardio fitness, strength/core training as well as stretching. We can also provide exercise routines for people just getting started on their path towards wellness.”
The Fitness Room at Tsha’ Thoñ’nhes is open from 8am til closing. The Fitness Room is for individuals who are 16 years or older, Onondagas, Onondaga Nation residents, and OAC members.
